Pattern instructions
Ivory star
Make a magic ring and work 10 sc. Join. For each of five points, work into two stitches: sc, hdc, dc in the first; tr, ch 2, sl st in the second chain, tr, dc, hdc, sc in the second. Repeat five times and join. Work one round of gold slip stitches around the outline, using ch 2 at each tip.
Spiral tail
With ivory, ch 26. Skip the first chain and sc in each remaining chain. (25 sts) Turn. Work 3 dc in every stitch. (75 sts) Join gold and sc in each outer-edge stitch. (75 sts)
Join and hardware
Block the star flat. With ivory yarn, whipstitch the first two spiral stitches behind the lower star valley. Run the hanging cord through the top point and knot it behind the star. Sew the jingle bell to the final spiral stitch with doubled gold thread.
Assembly and finishing
