Description
A creamy and indulgent Tortellini Alfredo dish, perfect for cozy dinners with family or friends, featuring tender tortellini, a rich Alfredo sauce, and bright broccoli.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cheese tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: cooked chicken, steak, or seafood for extra protein
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the tortellini and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- Melt the butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbling.
- Sauté the garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Incorporate heavy cream: Pour in the cream, raise the heat slightly, and let the mixture simmer to thicken.
- Stir in the Parmesan: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add the broccoli: Toss in the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
- Combine the tortellini: Add the tortellini to the sauce, gently mixing to coat.
- Serve warm: Plate the dish and enjoy immediately, optionally garnishing with protein or herbs.
Notes
For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of cream. Customize with more vegetables or proteins as desired.
