Description

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using).
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are light golden and the center is set.
  8. Allow the bars to cool completely before frosting and slicing into squares.

Notes

You can prepare the dough a day in advance and refrigerate it. Allow to come to room temperature before baking.
