- 2 slices Bread (Sourdough or Whole Grain)
- 4 oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
- ½ Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- ½ Cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
- 2–3 Fresh Jalapeños (Finely Chopped)
- Butter (Unsalted)
Instructions
- Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, shredded Monterey Jack, and finely chopped jalapeños in a mixing bowl.
- Lay two slices of your chosen bread on a clean surface and spread the cheese mixture on one slice.
- Top with the second slice of bread to create a sandwich.
- Heat your nonstick skillet over medium heat and spread unsalted butter on the exterior of the sandwich.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and repeat on the other side.
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it rest for a minute, then slice and serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can reduce the amount of jalapeños or substitute them with bell peppers.
