Ingredients

  • 2 slices Bread (Sourdough or Whole Grain)
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • ½ Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ Cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 23 Fresh Jalapeños (Finely Chopped)
  • Butter (Unsalted)

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, shredded Monterey Jack, and finely chopped jalapeños in a mixing bowl.
  2. Lay two slices of your chosen bread on a clean surface and spread the cheese mixture on one slice.
  3. Top with the second slice of bread to create a sandwich.
  4. Heat your nonstick skillet over medium heat and spread unsalted butter on the exterior of the sandwich.
  5. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and repeat on the other side.
  6. Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it rest for a minute, then slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can reduce the amount of jalapeños or substitute them with bell peppers.
