Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the chopped onion, cooking until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix the sour cream and cream of mushroom soup in a bowl until smooth.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes and drizzle with half of the soup mixture.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and soup mixture.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
