- 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1–2 jalapeño peppers, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Begin by roughly chopping the tomatoes, onion, jalapeños, and garlic.
- Place all the chopped ingredients into a blender or food processor.
- Add in the fresh cilantro and the juice of one lime.
- Blend until you reach your desired consistency.
- Serve it up by seasoning with salt to taste.
Notes
Refrigerate for a couple of hours to let the flavors meld. For a smoky flavor, try roasting the tomatoes and jalapeños before blending.
