Ingredients

- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water
- 1 apple, diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
Instructions
- Rinse the quinoa under cold water.
- In a pot, combine quinoa and water, bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed.
- In a separate pan, sauté the diced apple with cinnamon until soft.
- Once quinoa is cooked, fluff with a fork and mix in the sautéed apples.
- Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and stir in walnuts and raisins.
- Serve warm with almond milk poured over the top.
Notes
- For a vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey.
- Feel free to add other fruits or nuts as desired.
