Description

A delightful combination of cheesecake and poke cake, featuring a moist vanilla cake filled with a creamy cheese mixture and topped with cherry pie filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tub whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the vanilla cake mix as directed on the package, using the required eggs and water. Bake until golden brown.
  3. Remove the cake from the oven and cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Poke holes all over the top of the cake with the end of a wooden spoon.
  5. Mix the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth, then stir in milk.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake, filling the holes well.
  7. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the top of the cake.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Consider using low-fat versions of cream cheese or a non-dairy option for a lighter dessert.
