- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese sticks
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Freeze the breaded mozzarella sticks for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is hot enough to prevent the cheese from leaking out.
- For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
