- 1 fully cooked ham (about 8–10 lbs)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Zest of 1 orange
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Combine the brown sugar, honey, orange juice, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, and orange zest in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Place the ham in a roasting pan and score the surface in a diamond pattern.
- Coat the ham generously with the glaze using a basting brush.
- Cover the pan loosely with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 90-120 minutes, basting every 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil in the final 30 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
Make the glaze a day ahead for enhanced flavor. Experiment with spices or fruits to customize the dish.
