Delightful biscuit sandwiches filled with warm spiced apples, reminiscent of classic apple pie.

- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Combine the biscuit mix and milk in a mixing bowl until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it’s about 1/2 inch thick.
- Cut out 3-inch circles from the rolled dough using a cookie cutter.
- Cook the diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a saucepan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
- Arrange half of the biscuit rounds in a baking dish and spoon the warm apple mixture on top.
- Cover with the remaining biscuit rounds and dot the top with butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
Notes
Prepare the apple filling a day ahead for enhanced flavor. Adjust baking time if using an air fryer.
