Delightful biscuit sandwiches filled with warm spiced apples, reminiscent of classic apple pie.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the biscuit mix and milk in a mixing bowl until a soft dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it’s about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Cut out 3-inch circles from the rolled dough using a cookie cutter.
  5. Cook the diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a saucepan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Arrange half of the biscuit rounds in a baking dish and spoon the warm apple mixture on top.
  7. Cover with the remaining biscuit rounds and dot the top with butter.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.

Notes

Prepare the apple filling a day ahead for enhanced flavor. Adjust baking time if using an air fryer.
