Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot and blanch the trimmed green beans for 5 minutes.
  3. Drain the green beans and set aside.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the chopped onions and sliced mushrooms for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  6. Combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce in a mixing bowl.
  7. Stir in the sautéed vegetables and blanched green beans until well coated.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
