Deliciously rich brownies made with date syrup for a sweet and spicy twist.
Ingredients

- 1 cup date syrup
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the date syrup, melted coconut oil, and eggs until well combined.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to your spice preference.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
