A delightful twist on a classic meatloaf, packed with gooey mozzarella and topped with marinara sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on a greased baking sheet.
- Create a well in the center of the loaf for the mozzarella.
- Fill the well with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Fold the sides of the meat over the cheese to encase it.
- Top the loaf with marinara sauce and more mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Allow the meatloaf to rest after baking for better slicing. Customize with additional vegetables if desired.
