- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Coating:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- For Frying:
- Vegetable oil (enough for deep frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into golf ball-sized balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each ball in flour, dip in egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the balls to the hot oil in batches, frying for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
