- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup baking soda (for boiling)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Coarse sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, salt, and baking soda.
- Add flour gradually until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into bite-sized pretzel shapes.
- Boil water in a pot and add 1/4 cup of baking soda.
- Boil each pretzel bite for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush each pretzel bite with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter treat, drizzle with caramel sauce after baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
