- 6 cups of peeled and chopped apples
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon of cloves
- 1/2 cup of apple cider
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the chopped apples and apple cider.
- Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft, about 20 minutes.
- Add sugar and spices, stirring well to combine.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Once thickened, use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth.
- Transfer to sterilized jars and seal.

- Adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of the apples used.
- This apple butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- For longer storage, consider canning the apple butter.
