  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil.
  3. Add flour and salt, stirring until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For the custard, whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch, and extracts in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened.
  9. Let the custard cool, then fill the cream puffs with it.
