- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and salt. Pour into a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in melted butter and buttermilk until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit mixture over the peach filling.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Can substitute frozen peaches if fresh are not available.
