Ingredients
Scale
- Beef: 3 lbs of beef brisket, trimmed
- Glaze:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetables:
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and black pepper to create the glaze.
- In a large roasting pan, place the sliced onions, carrots, and celery as a bed for the beef.
- Place the trimmed brisket on top of the vegetables and pour the glaze over the meat, ensuring it is well coated.
- Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for 3 hours.
- After 3 hours, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Roast for an additional 30 minutes, basting the meat with the glaze every 10 minutes.
