- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Combine the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Stir until smooth.
- Add olive oil and egg to the mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- Gradually sprinkle in the flour and salt, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm space for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the risen dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
