Description

This Seafood Lasagna with shrimp and crab is a luxurious dish that combines layers of tender pasta with a rich, creamy béchamel sauce. The sweet, succulent seafood mingles with the savory cheese, creating a delightful texture that melts in your mouth with every bite.


Ingredients

  • Pasta: 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • Seafood: 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined; 1 cup crab meat, lump
  • Cheese: 2 cups ricotta cheese; 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese; 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Sauce: 4 tablespoons unsalted butter; 1/4 cup all-purpose flour; 4 cups whole milk; 1 teaspoon garlic powder; 1 teaspoon onion powder; salt and pepper to taste; 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then whisk in the flour to create a roux, cooking for 2 minutes until golden.
  3. Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then remove from heat.
  5. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the sauce, then layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta, half of the seafood, and a third of the mozzarella.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • This lasagna can be assembled a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
