Ingredients
- Pasta: 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- Seafood: 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined; 1 cup crab meat, lump
- Cheese: 2 cups ricotta cheese; 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese; 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Sauce: 4 tablespoons unsalted butter; 1/4 cup all-purpose flour; 4 cups whole milk; 1 teaspoon garlic powder; 1 teaspoon onion powder; salt and pepper to taste; 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then whisk in the flour to create a roux, cooking for 2 minutes until golden.
- Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then remove from heat.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the sauce, then layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta, half of the seafood, and a third of the mozzarella.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This lasagna can be assembled a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for whole milk and use low-fat cheese.
