Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a tart pan.
  3. In a bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, and half of the sugar.
  4. Arrange the apple mixture in the tart crust.
  5. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the remaining sugar and stir until dissolved.
  6. Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring continuously until smooth.
  7. Stir in the sea salt and pour the caramel over the apples in the tart.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.
