Description

Delicious pumpkin apple cinnamon rolls topped with a sweet maple glaze, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, apple sauce, sugar, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, and egg.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread with additional apple sauce and cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar and maple syrup to create the glaze.
  9. Once the rolls are done, drizzle the maple glaze over the top and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use brown butter in the glaze.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
  • Feel free to add nuts or raisins for extra texture.
