  • Author: Laura
  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 24 truffles 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Indulge in the rich, velvety texture of Peppermint Oreo Truffles, where the crunch of crushed Oreos meets the smoothness of cream cheese. Each bite bursts with a refreshing mint flavor, perfectly balanced by the sweetness of white chocolate coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Truffles:
    • 1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • For the Coating:
    • 12 oz white chocolate chips
    • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
    • Crushed peppermint candies for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and softened cream cheese until well blended.
  2. Using your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Stir in the peppermint extract into the melted chocolate.
  6. Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off, and return to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top of each truffle before the chocolate sets.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles for an additional 30 minutes to allow the coating to harden.
