  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for pecan topping)
  • 3 large eggs (for pecan topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. In another bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract for the pecan topping.
