- 50g unsalted butter
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the crushed digestive biscuits and set aside.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Add the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream, and gently fold until well combined.
- Layer half of the biscuit crumbs in the bottom of a rectangular dish.
- Spread half of the cream filling over the biscuit layer, smoothing it out evenly.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining biscuit crumbs and cream filling.
- In a small saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the top layer of cream filling, spreading it evenly.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Slice and serve chilled, garnished with chocolate shavings if desired.
