Ingredients
- Phyllo Dough: 1 package (16 oz), thawed
- Almonds: 1 cup, finely chopped
- Honey: 1/2 cup
- Butter: 1/2 cup, melted
- Sugar: 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon: 1 tsp
- Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp
- Powdered Sugar: for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped almonds, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with melted butter.
- Layer another sheet of phyllo on top and brush with butter again.
- Place 2 tablespoons of the almond mixture at one end of the phyllo and roll it tightly into a log.
- Place the rolled pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the top with more melted butter.
- Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo and filling.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey while still warm.
- Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
