Delicious homemade Pop-Tarts filled with your choice of jam and topped with a colorful glaze.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup fruit jam (your choice)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Food coloring (various colors)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cold water until the dough comes together.
- Divide the dough into two discs, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out one disc of dough on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of jam on half of the rectangles, leaving space around the edges.
- Top with remaining rectangles and seal the edges with a fork.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool completely before glazing.
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk, then divide into separate bowls and add food coloring.
- Drizzle the colorful glaze over the cooled Pop-Tarts and let set before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to experiment with different jam flavors.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- For a fun twist, add sprinkles on top of the glaze.
