- 1 cup diced peaches
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Once the cake is completely cool, slice it in half horizontally to create two layers.
- Spread a layer of whipped cream on the bottom layer, then top with sliced strawberries and diced peaches. Place the second layer on top and repeat the process.
- Finish with a generous layer of whipped cream on top and garnish with additional fruit.
