Description

A simple and delicious Swiss mushroom melt sandwich that combines savory mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese for a delightful meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Toast the bread slices in the skillet until golden on one side.
  5. Flip the bread and place a slice of Swiss cheese on each piece.
  6. Add the sautéed mushrooms on top of the cheese.
  7. Cover with another slice of bread, toasted side up.
  8. Cook until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown, flipping once.
  9. Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
