- 1 tsp chili powder

- Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Garnish:
- Fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

- Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onion and bell peppers, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the spices (chili powder, cumin, paprika, and cayenne) and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, stirring to coat in the sauce, and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.
Notes
- This dish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, warm gently on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of chicken broth if the sauce thickens too much.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt or a dairy-free alternative.
