- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add cream cheese and milk, stirring until smooth and creamy.
- Stir in honey and black pepper, mixing well.
- Add shredded chicken and cooked macaroni to the sauce, stirring to combine.
- Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well incorporated.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic powder or onion powder to the cheese sauce.
- Feel free to substitute the chicken with cooked sausage or vegetables for a different twist.
