Ingredients

  • 4 cups of peeled and sliced apples (e.g., Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss the peeled and sliced apples with cinnamon and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  3. Flatten each cinnamon roll slightly and layer them in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the flattened cinnamon rolls.
  5. Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream in a separate bowl until smooth.
  6. Layer the cream cheese mixture over the apples.
  7. Continue to layer with another set of flattened cinnamon rolls, spiced apples, and more cream cheese mixture.
  8. Drizzle the melted butter over the top layer.
  9. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling the layers the night before. Can be made dairy-free with appropriate substitutions.
