Description
A delicious pastry filled with cream cheese and spiced apples, topped with a cinnamon glaze.

- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups apples (peeled and diced)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine the diced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Add a spoonful of the apple mixture on top of the cream cheese.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with milk until smooth and drizzle over the danishes once cooled.
Notes
- Make sure the puff pastry is fully thawed before using.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins to the apple filling for extra texture.
- These danishes can be served warm or at room temperature.
