  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Additional cinnamon and sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Whisk together 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1/4 cup of butter until it sizzles.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, soaking for about 5 seconds on each side.
  4. Cook the soaked bread in the skillet until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Combine 1/4 cup of sugar with an extra teaspoon of cinnamon in a separate bowl and roll each cooked slice in this mixture.
  6. Serve immediately, drizzling with maple syrup or adding whipped cream as desired.
