Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons chai tea leaves or 2 chai tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Cinnamon stick (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and chai tea leaves or bags. Bring to a boil and let steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Add milk, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves to the saucepan. Stir well and heat until warm, but do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Strain the mixture into mugs, discarding the tea leaves or bags.
  5. Top with whipped cream and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy the festive flavors!
