- 2 cups milk (or non-dairy alternative)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons chai tea leaves or 2 chai tea bags
- 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (for topping)
- Cinnamon stick (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water and chai tea leaves or bags. Bring to a boil and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Add milk, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves to the saucepan. Stir well and heat until warm, but do not boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Strain the mixture into mugs, discarding the tea leaves or bags.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
- Serve hot and enjoy the festive flavors!
