A rich and decadent chocolate mousse tart topped with a glossy ganache glaze, perfect for chocolate lovers.

- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
- 4 oz dark chocolate (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of heavy cream until just simmering.
- Remove from heat and add chopped dark chocolate, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Gradually add the chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the mousse into the cooled tart crust and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- For the ganache, heat 1/2 cup of heavy cream until simmering, then pour over 4 oz of dark chocolate, stirring until smooth.
- Let the ganache cool slightly before pouring it over the chilled mousse tart.
- Chill again until set, then slice and serve.

- Ensure the chocolate is of good quality for the best flavor.
- Can be topped with whipped cream or chocolate shavings for decoration.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
