Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup hazelnut spread
- 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture gently.
- Spread the batter evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly, then roll it up in the parchment paper and let it cool completely.
- Whip the heavy cream and fold in the hazelnut spread.
- Unroll the cake, spread the cream mixture, and re-roll it carefully.
- Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with chopped hazelnuts before serving.
Notes
- Make sure to roll the cake while it’s warm to prevent cracking.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
