Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry puree
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • Fresh cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture.
  7. Pour half of the mousse into a cake pan and freeze for 30 minutes.
  8. Spread the cherry puree over the frozen mousse layer.
  9. Top with the remaining mousse and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  10. Before serving, garnish with fresh cherries.
