- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Press the dough into tart pans and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat caramel sauce until warm, then stir in chopped pecans.
- In a separate bowl, melt chocolate chips and mix in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the baked tart shells, then top with the caramel pecan mixture.
- Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until set.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the tarts are completely cooled before removing from pans.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
