- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup rice, uncooked
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add mushrooms and cook until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, sautéed vegetables, rice, chicken broth, cream of mushroom soup, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the rice is tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

- For added flavor, you can use homemade chicken broth.
