Description

The Cheesy Garlic Cruffin is a delightful fusion of flaky pastry and rich, savory filling. Each bite offers a satisfying crunch on the outside, giving way to a warm, gooey center bursting with the flavors of garlic and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Dough:
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup cold water
  • For the Filling:
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Topping:
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add cold water, mixing until a dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Spread the filling mixture evenly over the dough, then roll it tightly into a log.
  6. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place each piece upright in the muffin tin.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and oregano.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. The tops should be crispy and the insides gooey.
