- 2 slices of bread
- 1 cup of grated cheese
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- Butter for spreading
Instructions
- Preheat a sandwich press or skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the press or skillet.
- Add a layer of grated cheese on top of the bread.
- Layer the tomato slices over the cheese.
- Add another layer of cheese on top of the tomatoes.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
