- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pre-made chocolate cake layer
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, toast the chopped pecans over medium heat until golden brown.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat until it turns into a caramel sauce.
- Layer the chocolate cake on a serving plate, spreading a layer of mascarpone mixture on top.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the mascarpone layer and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mascarpone and caramel on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cake.
- Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
