Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pre-made chocolate cake layer

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, toast the chopped pecans over medium heat until golden brown.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and sugar over medium heat until it turns into a caramel sauce.
  5. Layer the chocolate cake on a serving plate, spreading a layer of mascarpone mixture on top.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce over the mascarpone layer and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
  7. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mascarpone and caramel on top.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cake.
  • Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
