Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour half of the bread batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan, then spread the cream cheese mixture over it, followed by a drizzle of caramel sauce.
- Top with the remaining bread batter and swirl in more caramel sauce using a knife.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
