Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Pour half of the bread batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan, then spread the cream cheese mixture over it, followed by a drizzle of caramel sauce.
  8. Top with the remaining bread batter and swirl in more caramel sauce using a knife.
  9. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
