Description

Indulge in the luscious layers of our Caramel Apple Cheesecake Trifle, where creamy cheesecake meets the crispness of fresh apples. Each spoonful offers a delightful contrast of textures, with the smooth, velvety cheesecake harmonizing beautifully with the crunchy graham cracker crust and the sweet, sticky caramel drizzle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Cheesecake Layer:
    • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • For the Apple Layer:
    • 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • For the Caramel Sauce:
    • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • For the Crust:
    • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9 inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown, then let cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the apples are tender but still hold their shape.
  6. To assemble the trifle, layer half of the graham cracker crust, followed by half of the cheesecake mixture, half of the cooked apples, and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Repeat the layers.
  7. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • This trifle can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
