Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry filling

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the chocolate mixture.
  5. Layer the mousse in serving dishes, alternating with cherry filling.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Before serving, top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and fresh cherries.
