- 1 cup cherry filling

Instructions
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, then add the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the chocolate mixture.
- Layer the mousse in serving dishes, alternating with cherry filling.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and fresh cherries.

- For a richer flavor, use high-quality dark chocolate.
- Make sure to chill the mousse thoroughly for the best texture.
