Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style preferred)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (or basil/oregano)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  6. Pour marinara sauce into a large baking dish.
  7. Carefully place the baked meatballs into the sauce.
  8. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve hot over spaghetti or as desired.
