- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fold in the diced apples.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to ensure crispy fritters.
